This course is designed for telecommunications workers, working on the Chorus Network, and covers the requirements of WTC-7.

It is a one day First Aid and CPR course, covering the requirements of NZQA Unit Standards 6401 & 6402, but tailored to the telecommunications workplace environment.

This course is not offered to persons who are not currently working in telecommunications workplaces.

You will learn:

  • Scene and personal safety at an accident site
  • How to recognise life threatening and non-life threatening situations and how to best respond to these
  • CPR for adults, children and infants
  • How to assist and manage a patient who is choking
  • Common First Aid conditions
  • How to manage bleeding, shock, burns, fractures and soft tissue injuries
  • How to manage poisonings
  • Identifying and managing common medical conditions on a telecommunications worksite

To enrol in this course you will need to download the WTC-7 First Aid Student Enrolment Form 2018. You will then need to return it with the remittance advice and/or payment to E-tec Ltd.

This course starts at 8:30am sharp, please make sure you have parked your car and are in the lecture room or workshop by this time.

This is a NZQA accredited course - NZQA unit standards 6401 and 6402.
