Description

This Course is designed for Telecommunication Workers, working on the Chorus Network, and covers the requirements of WCT7.

It is a one day First Aid and CPR course, covering the requirements of NZQA Unit Standards 6401 & 6402, but tailored to the telecommunications workplace environment.

This course is not offered to persons not engaged in telecommunications workplaces.

 

 

Course Objective

This course meets the requirements of the NZ Resuscitation Council Level 2, and NZQA Unit Standards 6401 & 6402 for Resuscitation & common first aid situations and includes:

  • Scene and Personal Safety at an Accident site
  • Recognising Life threatening and Non Life threathening situations and responding to these
  • CPR for Adult, Children and Infants
  • Managing a Chocking Patient
  • Common First Aid Conditions
  • Bleeding, Shock, Burns, Fractures and Soft Tissue injuries
  • Poisonings
  • Identifying and Managing Common Medical Conditions on a telecommunications worksite

Note: There is plenty of free parking on-site within the campus area, student parking is at the rear of the building, turn left when you pass through the gate.

Courses Start: At 08:30am sharp, please ensure you are on-site, parked and ready before class starts, persons who arrive late will be refused entry. 

Dress Code: There is no requirment to come in normal work attire, you should be dressed in casual attire and no dirty work boots.

Places are limited and subject to availability.
