John Lamb – Electrotechnology Trainer
John has been providing electrical training since the age of 19. He started out delivering night classes for electrical theory at Taranaki Polytechnic after gaining his Advanced Trade Certificate. He then spent some time in the merchant navy as an electrical officer before moving back into the electrical training field.
John currently teaches our electrical trade theory, regulations, electrical service technician (EST), electricians safety refresher, practical stages assessment and Navy programmes. He also has experience teaching electronics and control engineering.
“The advantage of smaller class sizes here at E-tec, is that we can engage more closely with our students. I also really enjoy working with a team of highly skilled and passionate teachers. Every class I teach is different and each student is unique. I’ve been doing this for over 35 years and I’m still enjoying every moment of it.”
