What is this course and who is it for?

This course is for people wishing to prepare for, and write the Electrical Installer Theory Examination covering prescribed electrical work in the fields of:

  1. security systems, or
  2. fire alarm systems, or
  3. railway systems, or
  4. lift/escalator systems, or
  5. heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems, or
  6. renewable energy systems of electrical supply which do not exceed 10kVA capacity and are intended for connection to a standard low voltage installation (not including any works, installation, appliance or fitting that may be connected to those systems of supply).


People wishing to prepare for this examination are required to attend a one week block course.

It is recommended that people enrol early, to enable them to complete the course preparation.
The recommended time for this part of the course is at least six weeks.
